This isn’t part of the Women of Genesis series. Instead, this is Orson Scott Card’s take on the story of Moses. It is an interesting take on the story. As always, one thing Card does extremely well is look at the motivations behind the story. How did Moses a prince of Egypt end up in a situation where he was alone with an Egyptian beating an Israelite? How did Aaron and Miriam feel about their younger brother taking predominance over them? Why did Aaron not only allow but helped in the building of the golden calf? Card has interesting answers to all these questions.
